About Avidity Biosciences, a Novartis Company
Our mission is to profoundly improve people’s lives by delivering a new class of RNA therapeutics – AOCs – that will treat serious, genetic neuromuscular diseases. Our proprietary AOCs are designed to combine the specificity of monoclonal antibodies with the precision of oligonucleotide therapies to target the root cause of diseases previously untreatable with RNA therapeutics. On February 27, 2026, Avidity Biosciences became an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Novartis AG. The acquisition of Avidity was originally announced on October 26, 2025.
